blackberry and lemon VODKA TONIC

The dog days of summer require something cool, strong, and slightly sweet - this one is just the ticket. Quick and easy to whip up…but impressive as a pre-dinner cocktail or for just sippin’ on the back porch. Feel free to increase the amount of vodka depending on your day - and for a slightly different experience, sub gin for the vodka - thump thump!

blackberry and lemon VODKA TONIC

Serves: 2 | Prep: 5 minutes

INGREDIENTS:

12 fresh blackberries

1/4 cup fresh mint leaves

1 lemon

1/2 ounce simple syrup

4 ounces vodka

1 ounce Fever Tree Tonic Water

A few blackberries, mint and a slice of lemon to garnish

TECHNIQUE

In a shaker, muddle together 6 blackberries, a few mint leaves, simple syrup, and the juice from 1/2 a lemon. Make sure everything’s fully mixed and muddled..

Add ice and vodka to the shaker, mix well but not hard enough to bruise the vodka. Fill two rocks or Collins glasses to the top with ice and pour over the blackberry-vodka mix - do not strain.. Top up with FEVER TREE Tonic Water and garnish with a slice of lemon, a few blackberries and a sprig of mint.
